CGW 49511 7" X 5/8"-11 Rigid Resin Fibre Disc Back-Up Pad is designed to support fibre discs during grinding on flat and contoured surfaces. This rigid rubber back-up pad accepts 5/8-11 threaded discs and is intended for use with coarse grits, helping to distribute pressure evenly and protect the workpiece. The design incorporates spiral ribs that create contact points and channels to promote airflow, which contributes to longer disc life by reducing heat buildup. Larger air holes further facilitate cooling during operation, extending abrasive life and improving cutting efficiency. For applications requiring contour conformity or when aggressive grinding is needed, flexible rubber pads are recommended; rigid pads, however, tend to perform longer on aggressive grinding tasks.

This back-up pad is specified for 7-inch diameter discs with a 5/8-11 arbor size and an operating speed up to 8,500 RPM. Each back-up pad is packaged individually.
