The CGW 70024 is a 7 inch diameter surface conditioning disc designed for quick material removal on a variety of substrates. This maroon medium-grade non-woven disc is impregnated with aluminum oxide abrasive grain, enabling efficient finishing and deburring while maintaining a longer working life and resistance to loading. As a PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) disc, it adheres to compatible backing pads, allowing easy application and consistent contact with the work surface. The medium grade corresponds to a 180 grit finish, offering a balance between material removal and surface smoothness suitable for general finishing tasks.
Key attributes include its compatibility with a broad range of materials—steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium and alloys, fiberglass, plastic, and glass fiber—making it a versatile choice for mixed-material projects common in facility maintenance and fabrication shops. The disc’s design emphasizes sustained performance, with abrasive grains embedded in the non-woven structure to resist loading and extend service life under normal operation. When selecting discs, users should match the medium maroon grade to the desired finish level and confirm the PSA backing is compatible with their chosen tool and backing pad.
