The CGW 39425 is a 4-1/2 inch diameter, 7/8 inch arbor Type 29 flap disc designed for versatile material prep. With 80-grit aluminum oxide grain on a durable polyester backing, this disc is engineered for efficient material removal on ferrous and nonferrous metals, as well as plastics and wood, making it suitable for a range of fabrication and maintenance tasks. The Type 29 profile offers an angled working surface that helps blend welds, deburr edges, and smooth irregular contours, while promoting a consistent finish across curved and flat surfaces.
Construction emphasizes balance between aggressiveness and control. Premium aluminum oxide grain provides reliable cutting action, while the reinforced backing supports long disc life under typical shop conditions. The suggested working RPM of up to 13,300 supports high-speed finishing, enabling productive results on common metalworking and fabrication workflows.
When selecting this disc, consider the material being worked and the desired finish. It is suitable for use on ferrous and nonferrous metals, as well as certain plastics and wood, where a manageable aggressiveness is appropriate. The package size is 10 discs per box, with each disc intended for individual use, and it is compatible with standard 4-1/2 inch angle grinders that accept 7/8 inch arbors. This product is part of CGW’s facility-maintenance line and should be used with appropriate PPE and grinding parameters as part of routine safety practices.
