CGW 63075 1-1/2" W x 50 yd L 120-Grit Brown Aluminum Oxide Abrasive Shop Roll

CGW 63075 is a flexible abrasive shop roll designed for general purpose material removal and finishing tasks. The roll features a 1-1/2 inch width and a length of 50 yards, making it suitable for wrapping or rolling applications on a variety of workpieces. The abrasive is constructed with semi-friable aluminum oxide grains that provide an aggressive cut while maintaining durability over extended use, helping to sustain performance across multiple passes. A brown aluminum oxide abrasive surface is bonded to a high-flexibility cotton cloth using a phenolic resin binder, which contributes to resistance to grain shedding and supports consistent contact with the workpiece. This combination is intended to deliver efficient material removal on metals and other common shop materials with controlled flexibility to conform to contours during sanding tasks.

In practice, this abrasive roll is appropriate for tasks such as general metal shaping, deburring, and surface refinement on lathe-turned parts and plumbing components where a uniform, wide-sanding area is advantageous. The J-weight (hardness) of the backing indicates a balance between firmness and conformability, supporting both flat and slightly contoured surfaces. As with all abrasive rolls, compatible tools and speeds should be selected per the workpiece material and the sanding task to optimize dust control, finish quality, and roll longevity. The package is listed as a single roll per unit, allowing convenient substitution in standard roll dispensers or trimming to length for bespoke applications.
