Safehouse Signs PL-18A Stop Slow Paddle Sign - 72 Inch Wooden Handle, 18”, Aluminum (.040)

The Safehouse Signs PL-18A Stop Slow Paddle Sign is a portable traffic-control tool designed for hand-held use in facility and workplace settings. It features an 18-inch sign face constructed from aluminum with a .040 gauge, suitable for durable indoor or outdoor signaling where pedestrians or vehicle operators need clear, temporary direction. The sign is paired with a 72-inch wooden handle, giving operators ample reach for safe, distance-maintaining signaling from a standing position. Hardware is included to ensure the sign and handle are securely assembled for active use.

This paddle sign is offered in both engineer grade (EGP) reflective and non-reflective aluminum options, enhancing visibility under varying lighting conditions. The 18-inch size makes it versatile for close-range signaling at loading docks, work zones, or crosswalks, while the aluminum construction provides a lightweight yet sturdy solution that won’t readily corrode in typical facility environments. The product is designed as a hand-held signaling device, rather than a fixed roadway sign, making it suitable for controlled environments such as warehouses, schools, or plant access points where temporary traffic direction is needed.

For use, users should ensure proper grip and awareness of surroundings while signaling to approaching pedestrians or drivers. The PL-18A is packaged as a single unit and includes the necessary hardware for assembly, with the standard 72-inch wooden handle length offering a substantial reach to maintain safe distances between the operator and traffic flow. This makes it a practical option for situations requiring portable, clearly legible stop/slow instructions without relying on permanent signage.
