The Safehouse Signs DOT-18244 is a 10.75-inch adhesive DOT placard designed for labeling corrosive materials in transport and storage settings. This Class 8 placard is built to visually communicate the presence of sodium hydroxide solution, aligning with DOT marking requirements and helping facilities comply with hazardous material display standards. The placard is produced on flexible, durable 4 mil adhesive vinyl, enabling straightforward attachment to clean, dry surfaces commonly found on equipment, doors, and containers used in maintenance and shipping areas.
Construction features include a weather- and moisture-resistant vinyl stock with a strong backing adhesive aimed at maintaining adhesion across varying environmental conditions. The self-adhesive format simplifies application and minimizes movement or peeling in typical facility conditions, contributing to clear and durable hazard labeling where visibility is important for personnel and responders. The product is specifically identified as a DOT placard for Class 8 corrosives, providing a precise labeling solution for materials classified under this hazard category.
Practical considerations include ensuring surfaces are clean and dry prior to application to optimize bond strength, with the 10.75-inch size providing a standard visibility footprint for transport-related labeling. This item is sold per each and is suitable for indoor or sheltered outdoor use in facilities that require DOT-compliant signage for corrosive liquids. While the product description confirms material and classification compatibility, confirm any site-specific labeling requirements or regulatory nuances before deployment.
