Markal MRK96313 Dura-Ink+ Easy Off Water markers are designed for temporary, erasable marking on bare, non-treated metal surfaces. The industrial-grade ink writes on untreated metals with a 3 mm tip and can be removed with water, leaving no ghosting when the surface is subsequently painted or finished. The marker features a durable metal barrel that resists breakage and a soft, durable nib that minimizes the risk of scratching delicate metal surfaces. Its Valve-actuated nibs promote consistent ink flow for controlled marking and the Clip-Grip caps allow convenient storage and handling, even when users are wearing gloves.
The marking range spans from -50°F to 150°F (-46°C to 66°C), making it suitable for a variety of shop environments where temporary identification or layout marks are needed before finishing or coating processes. It is intended for temporary marks on bare metal surfaces and should be tested prior to full use to confirm suitability for a given substrate and application. The product is sold in a Dozen-per-package configuration, with a Case Quantity of four Dozens, which supports larger project needs or multi-location use without frequent repurchasing.
Because the ink is water-removable, it offers an easy cleanup step when the mark is no longer required, reducing potential cleanup downtime. This makes it a practical choice for temporary setup, layout work, or metal fabrication tasks where final finishes will obscure or replace marks. When selecting for a project, confirm that the surface is bare, non-painted metal and consider any coatings that may affect ink adhesion or removal.
