The Guardian GUAG1540 AquaGuard Gravity-Flow Portable Eyewash is a self-contained eyewash station designed for use in remote or low-traffic areas where a continuous water supply isn’t available. It relies on gravity to deliver a steady flow for cleaning the eyes, with two spray heads that provide a soft spray for a total of 15 minutes at a rate of 0.5 gallons per minute. The unit features a rugged plastic tank paired with an epoxy-coated steel bracket, allowing versatile wall mounting in places such as manufacturing floors, maintenance rooms, or outdoor service areas. A swing tray provides a simple way to stop flow and rotate the reservoir to a storage position when the eyewash is not in use, helping to minimize accidental drainage and keep the unit ready for operation.
This model is oriented for situations where a portable, stand-alone eyewash is preferable to a plumbed system. The compact dimensions (wall-mounted, approximately 20 inches deep by 20.5 inches tall by 22 inches wide) and 16 gallon capacity balance storage footprint with the need for extended irrigation time in a single event. The combination of a durable tank and a corrosion-resistant mounting bracket supports installation in a variety of environments, including areas with limited access to potable water or where temporary eyewash coverage is required during maintenance or relocation. Maintenance considerations include ensuring the tank remains filled to provide the full 15-minute flow and confirming the swing tray properly halts flow when stowed, to prevent unintended use.
