The Better Brush 430209B Light Sweep Upright Broom is a head-only cleaning tool designed for light-duty sweeping. It features a 5-inch trim with stiff blue PET bristles, suitable for more challenging soils while still being compatible with upright operation. The broom head has a multi-angle 9-inch wide black foam block that provides one angled and one straight-up threaded handle hole, enabling quick setup and versatility in reach and posture during use. Notably, the black plastic block includes material recycled content, reflecting a consideration for sustainability in component parts.
This head is intended for light-duty indoor or accessible outdoor tasks, with a 10.5-inch sweeping path to cover floor area efficiently in corridors, workshops, or similar spaces. The package specifies a threaded connection, allowing compatibility with standard handles that fit threaded broom blocks. The blue PET bristles are described as 5-inch trim and stiff, supporting selective soil types—from lighter dust to tougher soil residues—though the stiff setting is especially suited for sweeping outdoors or concrete surfaces.
Usage considerations include the choice between the lighter 4-inch trim for dustier soils and the stiff 5-inch trim for more resistant debris, depending on soil conditions and debris composition. This product is listed as head-only, with an option to purchase as an assembled broom with a handle if needed. The packaging indicates a per-unit (Each) quantity with a case quantity of 12, which may influence stocking decisions and cost-per-use planning for facilities managers and janitorial operations.
